Nov 2017 - Bulb planting in the rain!

We have won Britain in Bloom!

Usk has been named joint winner of the large village category in the Royal Horticultural Societyís Britain in Bloom awards, alongside Market Bosworth in the East Midlands.

The village was awarded a gold medal for the high standard of its entry, with judges singling out features such as the castle and its grounds, a residentís front garden known as The White Garden and the mix of wildflowers used to attract bees for particular praise.

Brilliant! We've won the 2017 Wales in Bloom  Large Village category - 36 years in a row.

The Usk in Bloom committee celebrate the win in the new "Girl Guide" garden.
